Graduates celebrate with family and friends after the May 1 commencement ceremony.

About 570 students participated in Bethel’s two commencement ceremonies on April 30 and May 1 in the Wiekamp Athletic Center.

Speaking for Saturday’s commencement service was Associate Professor of Religion and Philosophy Timothy Erdel, Ph.D. Recently named “Distinguished Professor” by the Alumni Association in 2009, Erdel has worked at Bethel since 1994.

John A. Huffman, D.Min., spoke  for Sunday’s commencement. He is the grandson of Jasper A. Huffman who is responsible for naming Bethel College.
