When Joan McClendon (’10) decided to pursue a Master of Arts in Theological Studies, she lacked confidence that she could manage the academic load. But through the encouragement of her Bethel professors, she not only graduated with her degree; she has now returned to obtain a second master’s degree and has her sights set on the possibility of pursuing a doctorate.
