In July, the men’s soccer team, led by head coach Thiago Pinto (’05, ’07), partnered with Enable Now! on a task force to South Africa. They worked with the organization, coaching soccer and building relationships with young people, as well as speaking at school assemblies, visiting orphanages and assisting teachers at primary schools.

Enable Now! is a ministry started by two Bethel alums, Josh (’96) and Jamie (Highland ’96) Quarandillo. It is dedicated to spiritual, economic and leadership development in Ward 34, an impoverished, rural community located about two hours outside of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.

This video was created by the soccer team and shares video and photo highlights of the trip.
