A FEW OF HIS FAVORITE THINGS

Christopher Stackowicz, chair of the visual arts department, showcased his artwork last fall in “A Few of My Favorite Things,” a Weaver Art Gallery exhibit. Complete with Stackowicz’s work from the past year — including 10 drawings, two tables, one painting, six photos and 10 prints — the goal of the exhibit was to portray the variety of media in which a professional artist can be fluent.

VISUAL ARTS, MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION CAREER EXPO

A career expo held in February offered a chance for visual arts, marketing or communication majors to meet with potential employers. Organized by the career services office, this speed networking event allowed students to practice their interviewing skills, present their resumes and portfolios, and learn about internship and job opportunities.

 

VOICES OF TRIUMPH OPENS IMEA CONFERENCE

Bethel’s Voices Of Triumph was invited to perform the National Anthem and several vocal jazz selections at the Indiana Music Educators Association (IMEA) annual professional development conference earlier this year. The group was honored to open the conference. The Canadian Brass was also featured in the opening session.
