Bethel University Establishes New Pilot Promise, 100% Tuition Grant for Qualifying Indiana Students

Bethel University launched Pilot Promise, a new program providing 100% tuition coverage for qualifying Indiana students. The program, which will kick off in fall 2024, is open to new and transfer traditional undergraduate students.

The Pilot Promise will be awarded to first-time or transfer students entering fall 2024 who are residents of Indiana and living on campus. They must also be eligible for the full Federal Pell Grant and full Indiana State Grant, as determined by their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application. Qualifying students must apply for admission to Bethel University and complete the 2024-25 FAFSA by April 15, 2024, in order to be eligible. Learn more at BethelUniversity.edu/PilotPromise.

Bethel University Announces New Scholarship for Ministry Majors

A new scholarship is available for Ministry majors at Bethel University, in partnership with the Missionary Church. The Missionary Church Ministry Majors Fund will provide $1,000 per semester ($2,000 per year) for eligible students in order to raise up pastors and missionaries for ministry in the Missionary Church, encourage prospective ministry students to attend Bethel University and offset the cost of an undergraduate degree for students entering the ministry.

Bethel University Hosts Go2BU, an Immersive Campus Visit Experience

Oct. 19-20, Bethel University hosted nearly 80 prospective students at Go2BU, a 24-hour immersive campus visit experience for high school juniors, seniors and transfer students. Students discovered what it’s like to be a Bethel Pilot by staying overnight at Bethel University, attending chapel, observing class and participating in Tip-Off Madness. Look for the next Go2BU in October 2024.

Bethel University Hosts Free College Fair Oct. 3

Bethel University hosted nearly 30 Christian colleges for the annual South Bend-Mishawaka Christian College Fair on Oct. 3, in the Wiekamp Athletic Center. High school, junior high and junior college students and parents were encouraged to attend.

Bethel and IUSB Partner with South Bend Cubs for Charity Baseball Exhibition

The Bethel University Kinesiology department teamed up with the South Bend Cubs and Indiana University South Bend (IUSB) for the first annual exhibition baseball game on Oct. 3, with half of the proceeds going to 14-year-old Belle Wuich, who has neuroblastoma. Read more.

Bethel Partners with Lake City Bank for Annual Service Day

Bethel University’s 34th annual campus-wide Service Day took place on Sept. 26, sponsored by Lake City Bank. Bethel students, faculty and staff served together throughout Michiana at more than 25 local sites. South Bend Schools assisted with transportation by bussing students to the work sites. Read more.

Bethel University Hosts First-Ever Missionary Church Day on Campus

On Fri., Sept. 22, Bethel hosted its first-ever Missionary Church Day on campus, designed to celebrate the relationship between the denomination and the university. Over 50 pastors came to interact with university leadership, faculty, staff and students, as well as network with other pastors. Pastors attended classes and chapel, where the Missionary Church President Rodney Arnold spoke. Following chapel, various local Missionary Churches and Missionary Church partners, such as World Partners, Prairie Camp, Devon Oasis Center and others, promoted opportunities for Bethel students to get involved.

Bethel University’s One-Year Transition to Teaching Program Now Available Fully Online

Bethel University now offers its unique Transition to Teaching program fully online, in addition to its existing on-campus option. This will allow aspiring educators the opportunity to complete their course of study from where they live, culminating in a teacher’s license. National Recognition for Bethel University

For the 20th consecutive year, Bethel University has been recognized by U.S. News on their annual Best Colleges list. For 2024, Bethel is ranked among the Midwest’s Best Regional Universities and distinguished in the top 10 for social mobility.

Bethel University has also has been named to Money Magazine’s 2023 list of “Best Colleges,” ranked by value.

Education Department Receives Continuing Accreditation

The Bethel University Education Department recently received accreditation for all of its programs through 2030, based on the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) standards. All accreditation standards were met, with no stipulations or areas for improvement.

Bethel University Launches a New Enrollment-Focused Website

Bethel University announced its newly redesigned website, BethelUniversity.edu, which launched on June 15. This project has been more than a year in the making, partnering with Caylor Solutions and collaborating with Bethel’s Enrollment, IT and Marketing and Communications teams.

“The new site has been designed with enrollment in mind, with the goal of creating a frictionless experience for prospective students and families to access the information they need to make a college decision,” says Lissa Diaz ‘07, director of marketing and communications.

Bethel, NMC Sign Memorandum of Understanding with African Gospel Church

On October 11, representatives from Bethel University, Nappanee Missionary Church and African Gospel Church signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding), solidifying a new relationship. The African Gospel Church has enrolled 10 of their leading pastors into Bethel’s online Master of Ministry program.

2023 Nursing Graduates Achieve 100% NCLEX Pass Rate

Bethel University’s 2023 ADN and BSN graduating classes achieved a 100% NCLEX pass rate for the RN Boards exam this spring. This achievement surpasses the national average by 21%. Students included five ADN graduates, nine BSN graduates at our Grace campus and 17 BSN graduates on our Bethel University campus.
