New Staff

Talisha Barham ’12 has been appointed director of human resources and Title IX coordinator. In this role, she will oversee all human resources and Title IX activity. Previously, Barham served at Ivy Tech as the talent connection manager for four years and at Beacon Health System in human resources and benefits for 13 years.

Kristy Bourdon ‘18 has been named payroll & employee benefits manager. In this role, she will support the human resources department as she manages payroll and benefits for employees. Previously, Bourdon was the human resources manager at the YMCA of Greater Michiana.

John Dendiu has returned from retirement to be the faculty chaplain. Dendiu previously served as associate professor of religion and Bible from 1997 to 2016. He will be using his new role to encourage and support faculty. Since his retirement in 2016, Dendiu has been volunteering with hospice and the Elkhart County jail and spending time with family.

Christina Schwinn has been named director of Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center. In this role, she will facilitate the use and care of the Everest-Rohrer Fine Arts Center for campus groups and outside rentals. In addition, she will mentor student workers in best practices for certain areas of the entertainment tech and design industry.

Promotions

Jennifer Chaput ‘08 has been promoted to director of adult, graduate and extension studies (AGX) operations. Previously, Chaput served as senior advisor for adult and graduate studies (AGS), advising all adult AGS students in undergraduate programs and the ministry master’s programs. In this role, she will continue advising as well as coordinating with Bethel University extension studies (BU-X) and program coordinators on scheduling, and managing the day-today operations of the department.

Sabrina Citté has been promoted to director of student financial services. In this role, she leads both the financial aid and student accounts teams, working to ensure a more positive experience for the Bethel community with the newly combined team. Previously, Citté served as the director of financial aid.

Terry Linhart, Ph.D., has been promoted to associate vice president for AGX. In this role, he will oversee both BU-X and AGS teams. Previously, Linhart served as executive director of BU-X.

Kristi Monesmith, M.A., has been promoted to academic director of AGX. In this role, she will focus on academic quality in our online programs for adult, graduate and extension studies students. Previously, Monesmith served as academic director of BU-X.

Chris Taylor has been promoted to controller. In this role, he will oversee financial statements, accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as be involved in all aspects of financial planning and reporting. Previously, Taylor served as the staff accountant.

Retirements

Maralee Crandon, Ph.D., associate professor of English, is retiring from the language & literature department after 47 years of teaching.

Rob Rhein, D.M.A., associate professor of music, is retiring from the music department after 36 years of teaching.

Dale Robbins, DNP, assistant professor of nursing, has retired from the nursing department at our Grace campus after 16 years of teaching.

Notable Accomplishment

Becki Graves, director of worship arts, published her first book in January 2024 titled “IDK GOD: Conversations with God in the Chaos of Becoming Someone New.” The book reflects on the process Graves has experienced throughout the past couple of years becoming a new mom, working in ministry and going through changes in friendships.
