Bethel College Creates No-Debt Field Scholar Program Bethel’s Field Scholar Program is a partnership with local employers to provide a low- or no-debt option for students to obtain a bachelor’s degree from Bethel. It is designed for commuter students who will take about half their coursework online and be paired with an employer who will guarantee year- round work. The goal is to match students with a job that will provide income and field experience relevant to their academic studies, preparing them to enter the workforce upon graduation. Each student will have an alumni mentor and participate in twice- per-semester courses with their cohort, on life skill topics such as financial management. The first cohort begins Fall 2019.
